My Cell Group

Thursday, September 14th, 2006

My Cell Groups for this academic year are Ephraim(PKA) and Eirene(EPCC). Both of my CGs start with the letter ‘E’! Ephraim is one of the 12 tribes of Israel in the Bible whereas Eirene means peace. I like the significant name:P Last week we have the combined CG outing. We went for dim sum and bowling. It has been a blessing to be part of the CG where i can grow spiritually and it’s glad to see all the freshies start to join us.

I really salute all the CG leaders who invest plenty of hard work to conduct the CG. I can understand how stressed they would face, how much they endure the hardship and all the difficulties that they might experience. I truly thank them from the bottom of my heart and appreciate their great effort. Thanks for all the blessing that they have pour in my life.

When it comes to CG thingy, I don’t have much to say but it creates ripples in the ocean of my heart. And I dont know why i cant utter a word to describe it!!!

My true momentum…

Ji_mi_1   I feel like turning  my back on lessons, and running away to play with the weather. There are such lots of adventures out in the fields. What i want to do the most is- climb the many mountains as i can and go on a voyage across the oceans!!! crazy right? A girl like me want to conquer the mountains and make a voyage across the Atlantic?? These are my dreams..and I am a maniac into it!!! i have a very wandering spirit, though i haven’t as yet had much chance to develop it. It’s an intoxicating, exhilarating, calling of the nature. I want to close my books and be off over the hills to race with the wind!  "Colors of the Wind" ( the song in Pocahontas ) just come into my mind. It really speaks close to my heart. As the Mother Willow in this Disney movie said "Listen carefully, you will understand… "

Colours Of The Wind

by Vanessa Williams

You think you own whatever land you land on
The earth is just a dead thing you can claim
But I know every rock and tree and creature
Has a life, has a spirit, has a name

You think the only people who are people
Are the people who look and think like you
But if you walk the footsteps of a stranger
You learn things you never knew
You never knew

Have you ever heard the wolf cry to the blue corn moon?
or ask the grinning bobcat why he grinned
Can you sing with all the voices of the mountains?
Can you paint with all the colours of the wind?
Can you paint with all the colours of the wind?

Come run the hidden pinetrails of the forest
Come taste the sun-sweet berries of the earth
Come roll in all the riches all around you
And for once never wonder what they’re worth

The rainstorm and the rivers are my brothers
The heron and the otter are my friends
And we are all connected to each other
In a circle in a hoop that never ends

Have you ever heard the wolf cry to the blue corn moon?
or let the eagle tell you where he’s been
Can you sing with all the voices of the mountains?
Can you paint with all the colours of the wind?
Can you paint with all the colours of the wind?

How high does the sycamore grow
If you cut it down, then you’ll never know

And you’ll never hear the wolf cry to the blue corn moon
Or whether we are white or copper-skinned
We need to sing with all the voices of the mountains
We need to paint with all the colours of the wind
You can own the Earth and still
All you’ll own is Earth until
You can paint with all the colors of the wind

As i look at the blue sky above, the green plantation under my feet, the mountains span over the countries, the no-boundaries sea and oceans, and all God’s creations, I am so thankful. All these is beyond human description..Amazing God…His glory is shown through His creation..

I am a nature lover and I am glad i do. My deep affection for the nature have never been simple. The beauty of nature can be a therapy to obliterate the scar. If you are bending under a weight of sorrow and burden, turn to nature and it is the cheapest medicine.

As " Colors of the Wind" has occupied and overwhelmed me so much now, my mind is blank to proceed with my own  words now, so I would like to pen down here. I hope that you will enjoy the lyrics and appreciate it. The song is very nice, very therapuetic….

When the music fades, all is stripped away..                                                                                                                                                                                              And I simply come, longing just to bring  something that’s of worth that will bless your heart…

I am sorry Lord for the things I have made it,                                                                                                                              when it’s all about you, it’s all about you Jesus …

Lord, when my obedience to you is challenged,                                           help me to be strong and Angel_of_godfaithful to you…

Lee Na is back again…time really flies! Whoosh….this is the sound that I can describe how fast it travelled through out this hectic semester. My time was really stolen especially my leisure time for exercise, it’s totally gone!I felt terribly bad to sacrifice my passionate outdoor activities. The disgusting, time consuming, never ending assignments have crushed me to the ground…I need to be nurtured and restored! My time management is absolutely poor or I can say that i misused it, take it for granted and even procrasctinate everything i should do…cant believe this semester is coming to the end soon and the one month semester break is beckoning not far away! the semester had just gone and i cant wait for the next longer break! wow, time flies by in a blink of eye!!!!

Just want to share with you what I did during the short semester break. I went to City Harvest Church for the COnference called Emerge..Wow, it’s sooo happening! God has blessed His people with great talent and gift. This annual Emerge was truly an eye opener for me. I am sure it’s a tremendous blessing to the youth who seek the Lord faithfully. I thank God that my younger sister has this wonderful oppurtunity to be a member of City Harvest Church.I am inspired by her great faith in God. God has graciously brought her there for a purpose. Be the salt and light and shine for Jesus!
